The headline for this REUTERS article is “U.S. pending home sales decline in September” but when you read the article you find that pending sales are up 3% from September 2014. The decline is compared to August or only a one month period.

Local home prices up again
San Diego Union-Tribune article reports on S&P/Case Shiller Home Price Indices that show San Diego home prices were up 6% over August of 2014. The median home price for San Diego was $460,000.00 in September according to another study by CoreLogic.

Prices dip slightly in September
CoreLogic statistics reported by the San Diego-Union Tribune indicate local home prices dipped 1% from August to September but prices were $15,000.00 more than last year.

Foreclosures down 25.2% across U.S.
The CoreLogic National Foreclosure Report that there were 10,000 fewer home foreclosures in August 2015 when compared to August 2104. “In August, the housing market experienced solid and steady increases in sales, prices and performance and our preview data indicates those trends will continue in September,” said Anand Nallathambi, president and CEO of CoreLogic.
